A classic hearty dish representing nourishment and community.
Ingredients
500g pork bones, can use bacon bones
3 potatoes, peeled &chopped
1 kumara, peeled & chopped
1 onion
1-2 bunches of watercress, or puha/silverbeet
Water, to cook
Method
Place pork and onion in a large pot, cover with water. Simmer for 1–2 hours until meat is tender. Now add potatoes, kumara and cook until soft. Lastly add watercress and simmer briefly.
Serve with Rewena bread or crusty hot bread.
