Ingredients:
500g ground beef or lamb (or a mixture)
1 small onion, finely grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 slice of bread, soaked in milk
1 egg
2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp ground cumin
Salt and pepper, to taste
Olive oil for frying
METHOD:
In a large bowl, combine ground meat, grated onion, garlic, soaked bread, egg, parsley, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Form small balls. Chill in the fridge for 30 mins to help them hold their shape.
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the meatballs in batches until browned and cooked through (about 8–10 mins).
Serve with lemon wedges and your favourite salad.
