Hawaiian Pork Chops – (Nga Tapatapahi Poaka O Hawaii)
Ingredients: -
3 kumara,
2 onions, sliced,
1 large apple, peeled and chopped,
½ cup brown sugar,
455g tin pineapple pieces,
1 tsp salt and Pepper, to taste,
METHOD: -
Remove fat from chops. Peel and slice kumara and apple. Put in layers in casserole dish, pineapple,
kumara, apple, brown sugar and lay pork chops on top. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Cover casserole and cook at 177°C for 1 ¼ hours to brown chops.
Serve on a bed of rice.
